That is nine total destination pages. Check them all tomorrow and every day that the “Schumer closure”, rightly called Democratic Senate leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY). Those nine pages will slowly, but certainly, map the rising costs for Democrats of the government’s closure. Schumer lost three voices to his caucus on Tuesday evening and the pressure will only grow with every day that passes by.
The nine destination pages have all joined the “both parties are responsible on Wednesday if they are liberal points of sale, or the other approach that promotes the neutral:” The federal government is closed! ”

If you are a senator or representative of a blue state or district, you may be apologized because you think the country will not blame you. Maybe. But that will change very quickly.
Those people chosen may even have thought on Tuesday evening that President Donald Trump, or Senate majority leader John Thune (R-SD), or housespeker Mike Johnson (R-LA) would be “the fault”, and that the stunt that is set to place the dominant, but crazy, left, left, who would actually work.
They were wrong on Tuesday evening and they were wrong this morning and every morning to come.
Because everyone knows.
Those nine pages will change and the branding of the “Schumer Shutdown” will spread. Inexorable. Because it’s true. And because everyone already knows it is true. Every Democrat knows it is true.
That is the harsh reality for Democrats: everyone. Know.
They know that Schumer is afraid of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and the hard left-wing Democrats that she leads. It is of course “unofficial leadership”, but Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has passed the baton to AOC and she uses it to defeat Democrats in line. Schumer knows that he will lose her in a primary in 2028 because he is now 74, has been in congress for 50 years and will be 78 when he runs again.
I don’t know because I can’t read spirits, but I suspect that Schumer cannot imagine life after being congress. It is reasonable to guess that he is actually afraid not to be in the congress.
How can someone in the same halls, in principle, do not be afraid of that sudden expulsion of the goal? Schumer is a hill scoop. He will not know what to do with himself when he is retired through a primary challenge that comes most certain. (Schumer could take the worthy way out, as congress member Jerry Nadler did by announcing his retirement, but Nadler was never done and Schumer occasionally did. It is harder to leave a job that matters than one does not.)
Schumer organized enough Democrats to vote for a continuous resolution in the spring to prevent a government closure and was skimmed off by his left wing. Now Schumer has refused to do it again, because he cannot handle a second battle from the left.
Part of the left is ignorant of the rules of the Senate, but part of it is bent on this fight that it cannot win because they have lost for ten years lost, lost. Even when they won with former President Joe Biden, they lost because of his weakness and stubbornness of his family and inner circle. So they are in the wilderness and they are angry about it.
So the closure. And I suspect it will continue until Schumer receives the guarantees of his caucus and perhaps even from AOC that he is no longer put in the barrel.
That can take a while because Democrats are not only angry, they are blind – or to say it exactly, they are blinded by the old media and the newsletters they consume. They can very well think that they ‘win’. Look at the nine. Or see what MSNBC, or whatever it is called.
The left old platforms do not matter for the majority of the country and that is the key. The country beyond the Belsway understands that Democrats have closed the federal government, not Trump, or Thune or Johnson. Voters are always much smarter than Beleway Elites credit them. Voters do not receive their news from the Legacy Media or newsletters from and for Beleway elites. They get their news from the platform that you read now and from each other.

In the end, every burger “sees the carpet that all news sources are sufficient at a distance to make patterns appear. And this specific pattern has closed the government “Democrats for no reason” that was completely written about it.

Democrats went full of “Thelma and Louise” about the Shutdown cliff because they don’t listen to someone except themselves.
It will be a hard landing. The sooner the Democrats pull the parachute, the better it will be for them. But there is a delay time in the polling. It can take a while. Very long, because the Gop has absolutely no reason to move an inch. No. And they won’t.
