Major League Baseball has reached advanced conversations with NBC to ink a massive three -year -old media rights agreement.
NBC would pay almost $ 200 million annually to give the network on Sunday evening competitions, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
Because NBC has the rights to the “Sunday Night Football” of the NFL, this deal is said to be excluded on Sunday evening when the football is worn by its broadcast network. This also applies to NBA games, on which NBC has media rights on Sunday evening.

NBC is not the only network that MLB reportedly worked with because of its rights. The magazine also reported that Netflix closes a deal to stream the home run derby of the competition during the All-Star weekend. The deal would be part of a $ 35 million pact that runs until 2028.
Also, The athletics reported MLB and ESPN had a framework agreement to give the sports network exclusive rights to sell regular seasonal competitions digitally and the five ball clubs whose local rights fall under MLB Purview outside the market.
With sports media -rights that are confronted with a real bidding war, regardless of the sport, the reports that swallow around MLB must lead to some announcement of the competition in the near future.
