The truth starts to come out about all the things that the Trump government will not say about their decision-making process about bombing Iran.
The New York Times reported that Trump checked how Israel’s strikes played on Iran on Fox News:
He wondered advisers about what he said was a brilliant Israeli military operation, which brought a series of precision attacks that kept key figures in the military leadership of Iran and floured strategic arms locations. Mr. Trump took on his mobile phone from reporters and began to guide the operation as ‘excellent’ and ‘very successful’ and to show that he had much more to do with it than people realized.
Later that day Mr. Trump an ally how the Israeli strikes ‘played’. He said that “everyone” told him that he had to become more involved, including possibly 30,000 pounds GBU-57 bombs on Fordo, the Iranian uranium enrichment facility buried under a mountain south of Tehran.
…
The president closely monitored Fox News that Wall-to-wall was praised from the military operation of Israel and with guests encouraged Mr Trump to become more involved. Various Trump advisers regretted the fact that Mr Carlson was no longer on Fox, which meant that Mr. Trump did not hear much from the other side of the debate.
Trump was influenced by how the strikes launched Israel played on Fox News, but what about the intelligence that Trump claims that Iran is about to have a nuclear weapon?
Rolling stone reported that Trump has no Intel:
“There is no Intel,” says one of the officials who have been given anonymity to discuss sensitive matters. “Nothing new that I am aware of … The president protects the United States and our interests, [but] The intelligence reviews have not really changed what they were earlier. “
…
In the federal government, senior officials and policymakers do not pretend that Trump’s claims about an imminent nuclear threat have been built on something other than Vibes, whether it is deliberately manufactured or not.
Trump has never had an intel and seems to have bombed Iran because he thought it would play well and breathe new life into his failing presidency.
It is no coincidence that Trump bombed Iran after his attempt to attack Los Angeles and to nationalize immigration raids failed.
Donald Trump chose to attack Iran, which is why the administration has not shown intelligence or the evidence to support its decision.
Trump may have sunk completely what burning Sintels of his presidency had left with his choice to attack Iran, and now we know that there was no reason for it.
