The media still wants to pretend that the Republican Party has transformed to fit Donald Trump’s image.
According to the mainstream press, the United States still has two political parties, both interested in representing the interests of the American people.
The reality is that since Donald Trump took control of the Republican Party, Trump’s party has shown no interest in representing the American people.
Mike Johnson likes to call what’s happening in the federal government right now “unified government.” It’s a nonsensical term that doesn’t reflect the state of the federal government. What the nation is witnessing is Republican majorities in the House of Representatives and the Senate ceding power to Donald Trump.
As the media refuses to admit the reality that Trump controls both majorities in Congress, Hakeem Jefries on CNN is asked questions like these: “Leader, can you specifically name a Republican who you called in the last few days and describe what that call was like?”
