In a statement shared Sunday on X, a Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson said that all prisoners ‘legal rights were fully maintained’.
They insisted that Thunberg “did not complain to the Israeli authorities about one of these ridiculous and unfounded allegations because they never took place.”

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs also called the reports “brutal lies” and emphasized that prisoners had access to food, water, legal adviser and medical care.
Judicial documents from a hearing of 5 October before the Israeli population and the migration ribunal seem to support the official account, according to the local media reports, which shows that she asked for Sweden for deportation, but did not submit a formal complaint about mistreatment while it was in custody.
In another message on X, the ministry expressed that a Spanish prisoner from the Fleet of Thunberg is said to have a female medical staff member in Ketziot Prison.

The Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir described the participants in the Flotilla as “supporters of terrorism,” and said he was “proud that they experienced the same conditions as terrorist prisoners.”
Thunberg, 22, was one of the approximately 450 activists from more than a dozen countries that were held after the Israeli navy intercepted the 42-boot Global Sumud Flotilla on 1 October.

Other activists, such as the Turkish journalist and the participant of the fleet Ersin Çelik, told Anadolu’s desk that guards “dragged Little Greta through her hair, hit her and forced her to kiss the Israeli flag.”
