The German authorities arrested three alleged Hamas members on suspicion of planning attacks on Israeli or Jewish institutions in Germany, officials told the Associated Press.
Two of the suspects were arrested on Wednesday are German citizens. The office of the federal public prosecutor described the third as born in Lebanon.
They were only mentioned as Abed Al G., Wael FM and Ahmad I., in accordance with the German privacy rules. The trio will appear in court on Thursday.
“In the course of today’s arrests, various weapons, including an AK-47-East rifle and various pistols, as well as a considerable amount of ammunition, were found,” said federal prosecutors in a statement obtained by Reuters.

A security source told Reuters that the three were in thirty or 40.
Germany is one of Israel’s strongest allies because of the inheritance of the Holocaust and safety is tight in synagogues and other Jewish institutions. It did not come to France last month, Britain and various other countries in the defense of Israel’s wishes and recognizing the Palestinian state.

In February, four Hamas members who are suspected of attacking Jewish institutions in Europe went to form in Berlin in some prosecutors described as the first lawsuit against militants of the Palestinian group in Germany.
