In addition to the observations in Denmark, Norway also had a reported run-in with drones. Norwegian police are reportedly investigating possible observations of drone near an air force base in Central Norway, Reuters reported, adding that the base houses the F-35 fighter jets of the country.
“The guards at the base made various observations outside the circumference of the base early on Saturday,” a spokesperson for the joint headquarters of the Norwegian armed forces told Reuters.
Saturday’s incident in Denmark only came a few days after the airport of the country used by the Danish army was closed due to the observations of Drone.
Danish authorities said the drone incident was an “hybrid attack” that came from a “professional actor”, According to the BBC. The outlet said that the authorities specified that the drones were launched locally and did not come from Russia.

On Monday, a similar drone incident had an impact on Copenhagen airport. In contrast to the incident in Aalborg, some probably had that Russia could have been the perpetrator behind the attack.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that “the most serious attack on the Danish critical infrastructure was so far,” according to reports. She added that the country “do not exclude any options with regard to who is behind it”, Reuters reported.
NATO-Secretary General Mark Rutte said on Friday that he spoke with Frederiksen about the drones and that the alliance took the incidents ‘very seriously’.
“NATO bondmen and Denmark work together on how we can guarantee the safety and security of our critical infrastructure,” said Rutte in a post on X.

While some believed that the country was considering activating NATO Article 4 to convene allied countries about the drone incidents, the Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said that the country “had no reason to do this”, According to Reuters. Rasmussen said that after Article 4 had recently been activated due to air disorders in Poland and Estonia, Denmark did not need to do the same, Reuters reported.
Despite the fact that they did not activate NATO response, nor shoot the drones, Denmark still considered a possible response to the observations.
