If Jimmy Kimmel is curious about what his future has in store, he would have to consider the fate of another stubborn jerk that insisted on insulting half of the country during his heyday of the television: Keith Olbermann.
Kimmel is in hot water and for the time being, because he clearly intimudes that the alleged murderer of Charlie Kirk was a pro-Maga conservative, a disgusting lie that not only insults conservative Americans, but that the murder of Kirk was somehow his own fault.
Keeping ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel is responsible not ‘Culture Culture’ – It is fundamental fairness
To the great annoyance of Democrats, it now appears that Kimmel was not suspended due to some alleged threats from Federal Communications chairman Brendan Carr, but rather because then his bosses in ABC had to apologize for lying down the air, he refused flat.
Kimmel’s pride and terrible hatred against President Donald Trump and his Maga movement are clearly more important to him than his audience, let alone to retain his estimated $ 15 million salary. And that is where Keith Olbermann’s warning story enters.

Olbermann was once a beloved sports car that decided to switch to making news commentary on MSNBC. It worked for a while, but at a certain point his relentless bitterness and sarcasm switched off the viewers, and that removed the people who signed his salary. Now Olbermann is installing separate social media cover floors that are so full with Vitriol that you want to send a wellness check to his central park cushion.
This is actually where Jimmy Kimmel has made his one -time comedy show. It is little more than an extensive anti-Trump TV advertisement. His audience rarely laughs, but dutifully claps in his statements. They really applaud themselves because they are good anti-Trump people.
Kimmel’s Schchtick on this point, if you can even call it that, has become in a one-note, Trump-Hating-Hating Angry Clown. And now that his show has been drawn, he has become something more pathetic, a sad clown. Operas are written about such characters.
Just like Olbermann, Kimmel is now very disappointed and depressed about the fact that he lost his performance by half of the country. Apparently it is the ones among us who make up that half that he is so disappointed.
Kimmel has to take some time and view the X feed from Olbermann, who is now perhaps the most pathetic poster on the platform. Is this really where Kimmel wants his career to land, like a bitter old man screaming against clouds?
How difficult would it be for Kimmel to do his show on Monday and just say: “Hey, I showed it as if I said Charlie Kirk’s murderer was pro-Maga. That’s my bad. I put it badly and my apologies?”
That is probably all he would cost to get his job back, even if he kept using it as an anti-Trump platform. But for Kimmel and his peers, the attacking of Trump is worth it, although it doesn’t hurt.

Obsession is especially a dangerous thing when it comes to Trump. Look at Liz Cheney, who threw away as the third most powerful Republican in the house of delegates, and for which? To publicly insult Trump and his voters? Why?
Just like Olbermann, Cheney could still be an important voice in our discourse if they could have showed the least respect for the millions of voters who have put Trump into office.
It may not be too late for Kimmel to turn this disaster around, and to be honest it can be very good for the country if he did. It can help to give permission to his most loyal and liberal fans to take it easy for their Republican friends and family. To remember that we are all Americans.
Unfortunately, Kimmel receives bad advice from the people in his industry who gather around him as if he were a martyr. This is all the more galling because Charlie Kirk, the object of his cheerfulness and contempt, was actually really tortured.
Just apologize Jimmy. Do not fall into oblivion by becoming the next Keith Olbermann. Just apologize, otherwise the only joke that can still be said is:
Beat, beat.
Who’s there?
Not Jimmy Kimmel.
