During Donald Trump’s era, Jimmy Kimmel used his late-night comedy show on ABC to fight the bad orange man and speak truth to power, at least in his own imagination, but the thing about speaking of truth to power is that the real thing should be true.
This week, Kimmel suddenly saw his show suspended indefinitely for speaking lies to power. It was particularly a lie, one that was invented by the liberal media: the lie that Charlie Kirk’s alleged murderer was actually straight.

Almost immediately after the murder of Kirk, the liberal media were in overdrive with absurd theories that this clear left -wing political violence in which the perpetrator literally wrote: “Hey fascist, catches”, on a bullet he used to kill the leading conservative activist of the nation, was actually driven by right -wing game memes.

And it wasn’t just the lying media. What about this hot take from a Democrat member of the congress, California Rep. Dave Min, that is still the case are X -page:
“Now that Charlie Kirk’s Assassin has been identified as Maga, I am sure that Donald Trump, Elon Musk and all the insane Gop politicians will shout for retribution against the ‘radical links’ now to stop the poisonous violence of the radical right.”
To be clear, not a word of this message is even remotely connected to reality. Just like Kimmel, Minus, no doubt just believed those in the liberal media who told him a story of right -wing, white men’s violence, that they simply couldn’t resist.
It also does not seem that many Americans, according to the new YouGOV poll, showing 24%, believes that the alleged shooter is a republican compared to only 21% who says he is a democrat. Only a shocking 8% of the Democrats believe, as any evidence shows that he is left.

Reports on Thursday said Kimmel is very angry in his show that is being suspended. And he should be crazy, but not at the Federal Communications Commission for calling his lie, or with his bosses at ABC for punishing them. The right goal of his anger is the liberal media he trusted that looked like a fool.
Poor Jimmy was omitted in the rain. None of the familiar journalists he trusted in the framing of his manufacture was dismissed. Dave Min has not disappeared, although, as Mark Twain understood, members of the congress must always be kept rational at the lowest possible standard.
Kimmel discovered in a direct way that it matters where you get your news and who you trust. But although I have to say it, Kimmel is also a victim here, a victim of liberal media.
In the week since Kirk was killed, the left media did not use the facts to find the truth, but choose the facts to construct an anti-conservative story.
This narrative building can work in the confusing immediate aftermath of a tragedy, because little is known and much is collected. For a few days: “Maybe he is a nihilist,” or as Montel Williams tried to say, a lover crossed by stars can fly. But in the end the real facts come in.

Every actual fact in this case, from the engravings about the Shell-Omhulsels to the victim, to the statements of his family and friends, all show that this murder was a blatant act of left-wing political violence. That was clear early for someone who does not live in a novel by George Orwell.
Unfortunately for Kimmel he lived in a novel by George Orwell. Whatever the big brother of the left media said he had to be true. It was not necessary to trust the proof of his eyes. He would be told what really happened by the ‘experts’.
If it is a comfort for Kimmel, I am convinced that he will be roasted by the liberal media and political elite at the next cocktail party in Manhattan or DC as a martyr, while they continue to pick up their salary and paddle their perfidy.
Every good conspiracy theory needs an autumn man, a Patsy to take the hit when the whole thing starts to unravel. With a show that was all the audience and money, Kimmel fit in the bill.
To paraphrase a Twain Pearl of wisdom, the lie that Kirk’s murderer was Maga, was halfway through the world before the truth got his pants. But now conservatives are tied and the only person without pants is Jimmy Kimmel.
