Donald Trump fails as president. This is not a partisan or subjective explanation. New data of The economist reveals that the American people feel that Donald Trump is failing as president.
Usually a president will come into service and experience his highest approval, because the American people are willing to give the new person that voters have chosen a chance.
In both Terms and Conditions of Trump, however, he started with a lower approval classification than other presidents.
It is what happened since then shows how his presidency has sunk like a stone in the sea.
Our first graph shows that Trump is doing worse than at the same point in his first term in 2017:
The solid red line is the approval classification of Trump in 2025. The broken red line is the approval classification of Trump in 2017. As you can see, the line of 2017 is higher than the 2025 line. Also note that neither Obama nor Biden on this point had numbers as low as Trump’s. Obama was extremely popular on the same point in his first term.
