Polish defense officials say that the army shot down drones who contrasted its air room early on Monday.
The deputy Minister of Defense Cezary Tomczyk van Polen wrote on X that an operation to “neutralize objects that have violated and surpassed the border of the Republican of Poland.”
“The state authorities, namely the president of the Republican of Poland and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, have been informed,” wrote Tomczyk.
Deputy Prime Minister WÅ‚adysÅ‚aw Kosiniak-Kamysz said that the Polish army was in “Constant contact with NATO command”.

“The territorial defense forces are activated for basic searches of drones,” wrote Kosiniak-Kamysz on X. “We ask for calmness and only the announcements of the military and state services. In the case of the opposition of objects fragments, do not approach them and inquire the police.”
Russian drone crashes in the Polish field while Warsaw protests
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that he had “constant contact with the president and Minister of Defense” and that he had received a “direct report from the operational commander”.

The operational order of Poland on the armed forces connected the drone in his airspace to an attack on neighboring Ukraine by Russian troops.
“As a result of the attack by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory, there was an unprecedented violation of the Polish airspace by objects of the Drone type,” wrote the command on X. “This is an act of aggression that was a real threat to the safety of our citizens.”

The operational command said that it activated “defensive procedures” and, with the help of the Polish forces “made decisions to neutralize those who could pose a threat.”

“Some of the drones that came in our airspace have been shot. There are efforts to find and find the possible crash sites of these objects,” the command wrote. “The operational command of the Polish armed forces is in mind of the current situation, and Polish and Allied forces and assets remain fully prepared for further actions.”
