Some hostess Ding -Dongs sold in the US are recalled because of the potential that the products are possible with fungus.
JM Smucker Co., the parent company of Hostess, has published the recall for Select much of the Hostess Chocolate Ding Dong Single Serve, the hostess Chocolate Ding Dong and the Hostess Chocolate Ding Dong Family Pack, according to Spartannash, a food distributor and supermarket shop.
It was not clear to which states and stores the affected products were sent. However, the affected products have “the best” dates from 30 August to 3 September 2025.

“We are committed to your health and safety, and we follow best practices to guarantee the quality and safety of the products that we sell. We apologize for the possible inconvenience that may have caused this,” said a statement about the recall report.
No other items made by JM Smucker are influenced by this problem.

Depending on the type of fungus it was, reactions can occur immediately or be delayed.

Medical experts also warned that you cannot just cut the fungus. Although this may seem like an easy solution, harmful substances can still be left behind.
