The evening news shows on the broadcast networks nowadays are nowadays not always fixed on politics. They often lead their half -hour with frightening weather images and turn to Washington about 10 minutes later. But ABC, CBS and NBC can still determine which political scandals should be considered important, and which scandals should be buried and not recognized as scandals.
The networks clearly show their bias by treating Republican scandals as urgent matters that are loaded with historical weight, and rejecting democrat scandals as non -existent or as desperate, wrong information.
When Democrat and then speaker Nancy Pelosi got a “special committee” on the riot of January 6 with only two personally picked Republicans who would obey all its orders, that was “historically” and non-party. All hearings were broadcast live every minute on the broadcast networks, even in prime time. That story was so lame that NBC hadn’t even put it on “today” or “Nightly News”. It was just MSNBC -ASAS.
On Wednesday, the Commission of Comeres dragged the day with a summons Jill Biden Aide Anthony Bernal. He is an important figure in “Original Sin”, the Alex Thompson-Jake Tapper book about hiding the cognitive decline of Biden. “The assistants of Biden would say that she was one of the most powerful first ladies in history, and as a result he became one of the most influential people in the White House,” Thompson and Tapper wrote. She praised Bernal as the “loyalty police” and one of the “protectors of the myth”.
Bernal is still loyal: he took the fifth amendment. “Well, unfortunately that was fast,” said Comer after the statement ended. “I believe the American people are worried. They are worried that there were people who made decisions in the White House that were not only not chosen, but to this day no one knows to this day.”

ABC, CBS and NBC did not succeed in spending this story for one second. If President Donald pleases Trump, it will not be touched. PBS and NPR funded by the taxpayer had no segment. (Nice fact: Jake Tapper also not on his CNN show that day.) These networks did not give that judgment when Trump assistants the fifth names before the Pelosi-picked panel on January 6. That showed rotten confidence for the public!

Bernal was not alone: on July 9, the personal doctor of Biden Kevin O’Connor repeatedly took the fifth. In that case, “NBC Nightly News” offered a story. The other networks have done nothing.
This week, the broadcast networks have assigned well stories to the new diagnosis of Trump of a “chronic quadruple insufficiency”, but that is a routine diagnosis for the elderly. It does not in any way compromise his ability to be president, in contrast to the growing shipping of Biden.

Of course there was a Trump scandal to push these networks this week: a fight between Trump supporters about what the Ministry of Justice would have released about the deceased children’s trade Jeffrey Epstein. Among them, the Big Three Evening news broadcasts spent 20 minutes and eight seconds on the Epstein -Trump problems from Monday to Thursday, more than half (11 minutes, 43 seconds) on ABC.

ABC’s Rachel Scott performed the classic spider on Thursday at the end of her story: “And as much as the president wants to run the page behind the scenes, this consumes a lot of time in the White House. Scandals go “not away” when the liberal networks want to cause a headache to the Republicans. With democrat scandals they cannot “disappear” if they have never arrived.
