Many Democrats have talked about fighting fire with fire to combat the election efforts of Trump 2026 via Gerrymeering, but Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) does it.

More serious, Gov. Newsom said“This week we will announce the campaign. Next week the legislative power will make this ahead with two -thirds. We will get it in a special election on November 4. We are going to fight with fire. We will neutralize what Abbott does.”
Republicans look at picking up 12 seats when she states into grymander where they have total control over the state government. Democrats can deny many of them with their own redistribution in New York, California and Illinois.
Republicans may get a small advantage, but it will not be enough. Since the Second World War, the average loss for the President’s party during their first term, and since Trump’s conditions are not successive, this applies, applicable, 28 seats. Presidents have lost on average 43 seats when their Gallup approval rating was less than 50%. Donald Trump’s approval on Gallup is currently 37%.
The Gerrymander is not going to save the majority of the house for Republicans, and a way to ensure that it will not be that Democrats are fighting fire with fire by limiting the impact of the Republican Gymanders.
