Speaker Mike Johnson (R-la) The American people tries to fool to believe that Trump and Republicans have not removed health care from tens of millions of people.
Speaker Johnson said at Meet the Press:
The bill does not cut medicaid. The only big beautiful account does not cut Medicaid. What it does is to strengthen the program. And we have discussed this, Kristen, is that the problem is that there is a high degree of fraud, waste and abuse in that program.
I am talking about 10 billions of dollars every year. What we did is that we went inside to solve that. We have introduced work requirements, which is a hugely popular idea in the public opinion poll because it makes sense. Medicaid is a safety net program. It is intended for the elderly, the disabled, young, single pregnant women, young mothers. And those resources are taken away because you had young men, for example without people who run on the car. That’s not right. It’s morally wrong. And it doesn’t work with the law. So what we did in our big great account is that we started cutting those guys. They now have work requirements, 20 hours a week.
Video:
They have to work, looking for a job, in a work training program or volunteering in their community, which is good for them and their environment. We find dignity in our work. We are proud of that reform. And by the way, there was a Harris and a poll from Harvard that came out about two weeks ago. And they looked at 17 of the 21 primary facilities in that big wonderful account. And 17 of the 21 majority are supported in the audience. And that is after the attack of the regular media and Democrats who lie about the bill. So we are pleased to enter the districts in August and tell the truth.
Johnson was asked by Kristen Welker why senator Josh Hawley tries to cut Medicaid if the cuts do not exist, and the speaker answered: “I didn’t talk to my friend Josh Hawley about his legalization. I am not sure what that is focused. But I will tell you that the law is not to give.
Johnson’s claim is that everyone lies about the medicaid cuts, but Republicans tell the truth.
All non-party offices and analysts are liars.
It is something for a man who claims to be a person of faith and a Christian to look the American people in their eyes and to lie with them so ease.
The Epstein scandal has led people to forget that Republicans lower taxes for the rich and have paid for it by removing health care from those who are most needed.
Mike Johnson and Huis Republicans are about to spend the entire month of August, find out how much the American people have not forgotten.
