After the disastrous debate performance of President Joe Biden on 27 June 2024, President Donald Trump and his team were jubilant. The Biden team was crushed. And Senate Democrats were in an absolute panic.
Josh Dawsey, Tyler Pager and Isaac Arnsdorf are out with a new book about last year’s tumultuous presidential campaign. Such as “Fight” by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes and “Original Sin” by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, “2024” has a lot that is known, as well as many explosions of new details.

While Democrats have fallen into depression and denial, President Trump marches from victory to victory. That is partly because he has done the work earlier and knows exactly what he wants and partly because he has Susie Wiles as his staff chef. I don’t know Wiles, but the Dawsey, Pager and Arnsdorf paint portrait is mandatory about the facts of the competence and character of Wiles (and that of Chris Lacivita, the most important representative of Wiles, as well as the majority of the Trump 2024 team.

2028 will have its own dynamics and probably at least 20 candidates combined of the two parties. Republicans must hope that Wiles remains placed, but the competition for the services of Lacivita among GOP potential nominees will be intense.
Will a democrat want someone from the Biden or the Harris teams to be in his staff? “2024” must be read by every potential democratic nominee. There are many Beltway -political “experts” who are anything but. Negotiated has been asked.
