America has said in every industrial revolution – steel, energy or production – and also has the power to lead the AI revolution. This week in Pittsburgh, President Donald Trump brings leaders together to take on a determining challenge of our time: how to feed the AI revolution with American energy.
The progress on this front will be consistent for our economy, our national security and the worldwide leadership of America.
President Trump’s announced AI investment of $ 500 billion AI is a crucial factor for our country. But artificial intelligence will not authorize itself. It needs huge amounts of electricity, affordable and reliable.

And as a question for AI Computing Surges, the real question is not only about who writes the best code – it is also about who can build behind data center infrastructure. The US has the unique ability to do that – including the energy -dominance to feed it – and we now have the political will to kill.

American policy has often given priority to climate idealism over energy pragmatism. Wind, solar and battery technologies will play a key role in our energy cover, but they are not available on the scale or reliability needed to feed the expected demand from AI Datacenter. And these combined sources are more expensive than our natural gas.
Without a balanced and clear approach, we run the risk of shifting AI innovation and the associated economic and national security benefits in abroad.
Other countries are already trying to lure investments away from the United States by subsidizing AI calculation. Dozens of data centers are being built in China – approved in the last quarter of 2024 39. In Malaysia, the authorities are fast electricity infrastructure for data centers, which reduces lead times to just 12 months, compared to five years in the US, some American companies help finance all the growth of the data center in the Middle East.

The path to raise the AI -Dominance of America is rooted in abundant American natural gas. The United States are by far the world leader, good for a quarter of the worldwide production of natural. And we are also one of the cheapest producers.
Equally important is to ensure that the AI current demand does not increase the electricity costs for consumers. We can develop phases -based power generation on natural gas, regardless of the current electric grid and coacing with data centers throughout the country. Offering this special electricity prevents a competition for grid -connected electricity, which would increase costs and burden our already tense electricity grid.
New solutions such as these require creative partnerships and continuous innovation darom works together with Engine No. 1 and GE Vertova to set up facilities designed to offer reliable, affordable, long-term powerful solutions to support American AI leadership.
