Billie Eilish won the Grammy Award for best “Anti-ICE Tantrum” on Sunday night by declaring that “no human being is illegal on stolen land.”
Unfortunately, the backlash against her is the latest in a long line of reminders that Hollywood celebrities need to ditch politics and keep doing what they do best, which is cocaine.
Now obviously I have no idea if Billie is on drugs, but you have to be on SOMETHING to think that all this Trump bashing is helping the awards shows.
BILLIE EILISH CALLS ‘STOLEN LAND’ ON GRAMMY COMMENTS WHILE OWNING MILLION DOLLAR MANSION
The ratings for the Grammys were down 9% year over year, and of course we all know that viewership is down 50% over the last twenty years for that well-dressed group therapy session we call the Oscars.
One of the main reasons for this is that people turn to movies and music to escape from politics and the torments of everyday life. If they wanted a predictable, one-note political lecture, they’d put on the Jimmy Kimmel show.
That said, Billie has bigger problems than fixing the Grammys. For starters, her rant about “stolen land” on Sunday night has made her a national punchline. I guess she never saw this coming, because no one gets in trouble for stealing anything in Gavin Newsom’s California. If you don’t believe me, you’ve never owned an Ulta Cosmetics.
MUSIC’S BIGGEST STARS PROTEST ICE AT GRAMMY AWARDS AGAINST TRUMP’S IMMIGRATION CRACKDOWN
But right now, the “Birds of a Feather” singer is now on the business end of a million viral memes pointing out the hypocrisy of gunplay by ranting about stolen land while not offering to give back a single square inch of her $2.3 million Glendale horse ranch.
This is the Grammy equivalent of Snoop Dogg calling viewers a bunch of potheads. It doesn’t help that Billie’s digs happen to be on the ancestral lands of the Tongva tribe, whose spokesperson told the Daily Mail: “Eilish has not contacted our tribe directly about its properties. We do appreciate it when public figures provide insight into the true history of this land.”
That’s a nice way of saying that her overtures to the Indians were emptier than those of a Somali daycare center in Minneapolis. But they didn’t pay nearly as well.
GRAMMY AWARDS VIEWERSHIP DUMPS 20% AMONG YOUNG ADULTS IN LAST YEAR ON CBS
Thousands of people have suggested that Eilish host some undocumented migrants in her mansion, but at this time she has not sent an invitation. Something tells me this isn’t because she still designs them on Shutterfly.
In short, it’s a wonder she’s won so many Grammys because she’s completely tone deaf. Is this the end of her career? Of course not. She may be a National Laughingstock, but Kamala Harris was able to maintain that all the way to the vice presidency.
The bigger hope is that the Billie Backlash serves as a cautionary tale for other good signs that there’s nothing wrong with getting YOUR Grammy win over YOU.
And why not?
BILLIE EILISH SAYS DEMONSTRATIONS ARE ‘ATTACKED AND MURDERED’ DURING SPEECH
Millions of fans around the world use your musical talents to transport themselves to a better moment in their lives. What better way to honor that gift than to cater to the whims of a Hollywood audience so liberal that they want to expose the Village People’s agent.
Trust me, ICE bashing may be popular at the Grammys, but here in the real world, it didn’t go over nearly as well with the masses without Botox.

Especially since we’ve seen this act before.
This season’s “ICE Out” pin was last year’s “Free Palestine” button, which was preceded by a “Stand With Ukraine” ribbon.
There’s so much social justice flair that we’re getting to the point where every woman walking down the red carpet looks like a waitress at TGI FRIDAYS.

Look. I have no doubt that there are people who have made it to the end of this piece and feel that I am NOT in a position to criticize the girl who wrote the mega-hit “Barbie” soundtrack. I agree. I certainly look like Ken’s brother CAN’T.
But even I know that music awards shows won’t last much longer if we all watch with the sound off.
