It just keeps happening.
On November 24, California newlyweds were murdered by an illegal truck driver who obtained a commercial driver’s license under Governor Gavin Newsom’s lax, heinous and dangerous policies.
William Carter and his new bride, Jennifer Lower, died after crashing into a big oil rig driven by illegal migrant Rajinder Kumar, who managed to get his CDL while in the country illegally, which is exactly as crazy as it sounds.
This follows similar incidents involving individuals, who had no right to be in the US, mowing down Americans in commercial trucks. Three died in August, three more in October, and now this couple who were just beginning their lives have been murdered as a result of the recklessness of Newsom and his fellow progressives.

What is so incredibly hurtful about this situation is that American citizens are regulated within an inch of our lives when we buy a house, finance a car, or start a business, but illegal immigrants just seem to do whatever they want.

As a holder of a New York State CDL, I can tell you that for me the process of obtaining this required triplicate documents, endless paperwork, and a doctor’s visit. Yet illegal immigrants, who cannot even read street signs, let alone English, somehow go to one-stop “driving schools” and emerge with the precious document.
And let’s understand what exactly a CDL is: It’s a license to drive by far the deadliest vehicles on our highways, 25,000 pounds of steel and glass that can turn a road trip into a tragedy in an instant.

Fortunately, the Ministry of Transport, led by Minister Sean Duffy, is now focusing on these driving schools.
“We are curbing illegal and reckless practices that allow poorly trained drivers to get behind the wheel of semi-trucks and school buses,” Duffy said recently.
DHS said ICE arrested Indian illegal alien Anmol Anmol, who was carrying a New York commercial driver’s license with “No Name Provided” as his name. (DHS)
This can’t happen fast enough and it will save lives. But the problem is so much bigger than trucking, it is seeping into one industry after another.

Not only do the illegals get lower wages, there is also no workers’ compensation insurance to pay for, something that in the context of a legal business would cause progressives to call the owners capitalist pigs who need to be punished.
Not only does it feel like there are two sets of rules here, it feels like American citizens have one set of overly burdensome rules, and illegal immigrants have no rules at all. According to the Democrats, they can’t even be deported unless they are violent criminals, which is just crazy.

The Americans are getting tired of it. Under President Joe Biden, we saw millions of illegals pour in and get cell phones, hotel rooms and even cash. How many citizens at that time could not pay their cell phone bills, pay sky-high hotel prices, or even meet their basic needs?

Meanwhile, it’s the same progressives who cripple legitimate businesses with high taxes, $30 minimum wages, and absurd environmental regulations, who turn a blind eye when illegal immigrants flaunt every rule, from selling fake handbags on the streets to killing people on our highways.

Much of the current conversation about immigration, legal and otherwise, has recently focused on the issue of assimilation. But assimilation doesn’t just mean learning English, being familiar with baseball and knowing the history of our country. It also means adhering to a shared set of rules, something the far left seems to have no interest in.

The cold, hard fact: Call it Biden’s last laugh, if you will, is that, as much as White House adviser Stephen Miller rightly insists, it is not possible to deport twenty million people. However, it is possible to make them play by the rules. And that in itself could lead to many self-deportations.
Nothing can replace the lives lost because progressives decided to give illegals a free pass when it comes to obtaining CDLs, but no one else has to die as a result of this naive corruption.

Close the illegal driving schools, close the illegal job markets, check the status of every babysitter from Park Slope to Silicon Valley. Simply put: make sure that illegal immigrants at least jump through the same hoops as citizens.
