Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson identifies as a Christian, but his behavior during the government shutdown was the opposite of Christ’s teachings. Johnson has refused to reinstate Obamacare subsidies, which help people afford health care.
The Speaker has also refused to do anything to help military families who have been lining up at food banks to feed their families.

Johnson has been the most unchristian speaker in recent history as he pushed legislation through the House of Representatives that took food and medical care away from the most vulnerable Americans.
Mike Johnson’s definition of Christian does not match the beliefs of many other Christians, or what many Christians who support Donald Trump and his party claim to believe.
As the government shutdown continues, it becomes increasingly difficult for President Johnson to maintain his Christian facade.
At his now daily government shutdown press conference, Johnson was asked: “If it’s so important to pay the air traffic controllers, you said you want to see what happens in the Senate, why not do that now and say, we’re going to have the House back in session and we’re going to vote. Because, you know, just as much as I do sometimes when one body moves something. To another?”
Johnson’s response said everything about his real motives for the government shutdown.
