Rep. Nancy Mace blew a gasket and blamed the media and the left For shooting Charlie Kirk. All this has proved to be incorrect, But Mace continued to blame the left of threats in her life.
Rep. MACE:
Well, I am very worried about our security and safety, even my employees. We have stationed the local police outside my offices for the past 48 hours. I just had a family member who called for this and spoke about the police car that is stationed outside the houses of my – part of my family back in South Carolina. I’ve not worn for a while. I didn’t need it. I feel a great need to wear and I am grateful that South Carolina is an open -carry. So I will wear. I must now have increased security. Normally I certainly have security with me, but now we have to double the size of the security team and also take other security precursors, as every person chosen is currently in public. No more outdoor events for the near future […] And I don’t feel safe now to go outside, because there can be someone there. The violence and rhetoric – it feels like it’s – you know, it increases. And what happened to Charlie two days ago – I’m just – we are all on sharp. And my employees feel scared. My children feel scared, my family. And we are going to take every precautions that is needed to ensure that everyone’s safety is ahead.
I am angry, but I can be angry. This is a – this is a very unsafe situation. Like, our life is in danger. I mean, I don’t feel safe now to walk outside. And the attorney -general in my state, Alan Wilson – he recently placed my personal vehicle of ownership – tags and everything, and the brand and model of my car – because politics is a blood sport in South Carolina and brings my life in danger. Like, I have to evaluate what I drive, where I drive, where I park. I am afraid of even walking from the car in my parking lot to the office, because it is all you know, a 100-meter walk.
MACE went further to blame the left for threats of political violence:
What we have seen is that people are brainwashed. We are called Nazis. Charlie Kirk was called a Nazi. Charlie Kirk was called Hitler. Those of us on the Republican side who are very pronounced and vocal, we are dehumanized.
And by being dehumanized, we have flushed people on the left who have been brainwashed, who believe that oh, I can take a gun to an event, shoot someone in the neck, kill them, and it is celebrated because that is exactly what happened in the last 48 hours. Because we have been targeted. I am not a Hitler.
Video:
I can’t remember someone ever called Nancy Mace Hitler. Mace is hypocritical to attack on the left and, without evidence, to blame the shooting in Charlie Kirk, but also claims that she is being dehumanized and called Hitler.
It is also dehumanizing for Mace to claim that people who are left are brainwashed.
Everything is about Nancy Mace for Nancy Mace.
There is no doubt that chosen officials have a constant barrage of threats, and that there is a legitimate safety problem for members of the congress, but Mace may not play the victim while she does the same that she accuses the left side of doing her.
Part of the problem is culturally, but another issue is that individuals such as MACE in politics try to exploit hyperpartistness for political gain.
