As cable news and mainstream media obsessed with the murder of Charlie Kirk, Because if there is one thing that cable news and mainstream media is love, it is a cheap story to treat that can eat hours of programming, other news continues.
An important piece of news that has been completely overlooked is that the Senate Democrats have offered a series of short -term financing agreements to keep the government open, and their answer was no.
The chance of a government closure is spiking, after Senate Line Leader Chuck Schumer rejected the financing proposals of the Republicans by saying that they ‘cannot get our voices’.
Republicans have proposed several short -term financing options that run from November to January, but Democrats want Republicans to negotiate with them, especially about renewing forged health care subsidies.
Schumer, Jeffries and other top democrats in the house and the Senate will meet this morning to discuss the strategy, another sign that Senate Democrats are on the same page with the rest of their party.
In March, minority leader Schumer coordinated with no one, and so he finally made his own bad deal, where he kept the government open and received nothing in return.
Democrats must try to get as much as possible from Republicans in exchange for their votes to finance the government. If Republicans want a long -term plan that will take financing through the interim elections, they will have to negotiate and pay because the Gop does not have the votes in the Senate to give something alone.
From what Senate Democrats Republicans tell, the starting point for every deal is the restoration of Obamacare subsidies.
The Medicaid and Snap Cuts do not start until 2026 and later, but the ACA subsidies disappear at the end of the year.
It would be a big victory for Democrats to get those subsidies back.
Democrats seem to be stepping on the record, but the evidence is doing. If Republicans will not negotiate, Democrats must be willing to allow the Gop to close the government until they do what is good for the American people.
If Democrats want to prove the American people that they earn it to be in power again, it starts to stand on the Obamacare subsidies.
