Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) got loudly in the Senate to stop Trump’s corruption and the damage caused by the President the American people. With the deadline of government financing at the end of the month, Democrats are increasingly refusing to vote for something unless the Trump agenda is stopped.
On NBC’s Meet the Press asked Kristen Welker Booker: “As you heard me discuss with Secretary Bessent, we got that job report, lower jobs than expected last month. And it is because the congress is now a little more than three weeks away from a potential government closure. Senator, are you willing to defend the government’s priorities?”
Booker replied when he was asked if he would close the government:
If there is a government closure, the Republicans check the White House and control the congress. They will be those things close. There is one path to do a budget. The way it was done, all the time that I have been a senator of the United States, is in a dual way.
But our president does not care. Our president does not care about the independence of agencies that he attacks. He does not care about the independence of the Ministry of Justice. He says he focuses on his political enemies, like my colleague Adam Schiff. This is a president who does not have the morality needed to reach over the aisle and to work within the boundaries of our Constitution. He is reckless. And he hurts Americans. And I don’t give my voice away for a budget that will harm New Jerseyans or someone in our nation.

The entire starting point of Welker’s question was wrong.
