HHS Secretary RFK Jr. testified before the Senate on health care policy. Well, the hearing was supposed to be about healthcare policy, but quickly became a showcase for what Donald Trump has done to federal healthcare policy by RFK Jr. to take the lead.
Senator Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD) questioned the HHS Secretary about his stated desire to send every Black child to work and farm.
Alsobrooks asked:
You said, you said that every black child now is just standard, put on Adderall, SSRIs, benzos, which are known to cause violence, and those kids are given the opportunity to go somewhere and get an education to live in a community where there are no cell phones and no screens.
You know, you claimed that the whole transcript was actually worse. You said that if you could, you would quote every black child again, your words not mine, to live and work on farms. Is that yours?
Kennedy interrupted, “I would like to see and hear that recording because I don’t remember saying anything like that.”
Alsobrooks said, “Well, I actually have the recording, um, that I can give you, but it’s absolutely what you said, and if you want me to play it, I can play it.”
Kennedy continued, “If you ask me what my opinion is, I don’t believe that every black person should have to be parented again on a wellness farm or whatever, and I’ve never believed that… I don’t believe it. That’s not my vision for our country.”
Senator Alsobrooks responded: “Well, I’m glad because it was ignorant to say it was dangerous and irresponsible.”
Kennedy claimed not to remember suggesting that all black children should be sent to farms: “If I say so, I apologize, but I would have to see the transcript.”
Video:
The Secretary of Health and Human Services has no idea whether or not he called for all black children to be rounded up and sent to farms.
That’s disturbing, but there were even more crazy moments.
