Democrats who were overthrown in 2020 in 2020 of images of American heroes such as Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and Teddy Roosevelt, suddenly worry deeply that the Trump government is trying to put the Smithsonian Museums together to put the American exceptionally.
Please save us.
Take Tim Walz, governor of Minnesota and self-aware white Taco connoisseur, who went to X this week.

“If you try to erase history, you are on the wrong side,” he wrote. But where was this pious indignation when demonstrators illegally settled a 90-year-old Christopher Columbus statue in his state capitol in 2020?
That erasing history was done by an angry crowd, without a process. I know, because I have read everything about it in an article from 2022 with the downy Bubblegum title, “Meet the native activist who overthrown the Christopher Columbus statue of Minnesota.”
Do you want to do a gamble where that article was published? I swear, I don’t make this up: it was in the Smithsonian Magazine.

Here is a jewel of the apologies that vandalism describes sympathetically: “It is something beautiful because we have suffered from what [Columbus] Did us, “said Dorene Day, a woman from Ojibwe who brought several of her children and her grandchildren to the protest. “
I am sure you will be shocked to know that the Smithsonian article has not quoted any Columbus supporter, or even acknowledged that such a position was possible. In fact, it regretted that the statue had never come down before.
This is precisely the kind of one -sided, extremely left -wing version of the history that President Trump and his administration are trying to remedy with their assessment of the range of the museums.
Don’t get me wrong, the Smithsonian is a great attitude. But the left lean has long been clear, including the first exclusion of the Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas of the African American History Museum.

This speaks to an issue that goes back much further than radicalism of 2020. For decades, perhaps half a century, progressives have had Hegemonic control over our cultural and historical institutions; Their rule was almost undisputed.
In their version of events, America is always the mistake of the oppression of Americans and almost all the other that is wrong in the world. One representation about Cuban immigration blames the American intervention in Latin -America and completely omits the name Fidel Castro.
This all raises the question of who should decide how to tell the story of our nation?
In 2020, under the approval of Democrats, it was demonstrators who made the decisions illegally. And even when images were ‘officially’ removed, it was never a referendum involved, rather wokesters were just small committees and had their way with our history.
In their version of events, America is always the mistake of the oppression of Americans and almost all the other that is wrong in the world.
By one Recent pollOnly 37% of the Democrats do not think there is something to celebrate when the United States will be 250 years old next year. This is because the elites in the academy and our cultural institutions have introduced this version of events into the ‘well -trained’.
The story of history changes over time. Only in the 1950s, for example, did the Crusades begin to be seen as a kind of racist, colonizing company, and today it is reviewed by some scholars, more seen as a necessary defending counterattack against Muslim aggression.
This does not mean that one version of events, whether it is about the crusades or the civil war, is right or wrong. But what is wrong is to ignore the arguments in favor of the American greatness to only expose our dark lower abdomen.

In essence, it was taken somewhere along the line that patriotism does not belong in the museum. It is a bizarre attitude that flies towards the history of museums, and there is no reason for the Trump government to let this longer Fester.
Walz and the hypocrites of the statue really have to sit outside. They have already proven that they would like to destroy history to fit their agenda, so they have no leg to refuse a seat on the Smithsonian table on conservatives.

The process of making changes to the Smithsonian under Trump is open, public and transparent. Finally, this can be a national debate and not just left-wing those anti-American ideas in our throat.
This process is much more than we have ever received in 2020, when history was simply taken away from us. Many Americans, from coast to coast, welcome it.
