The Brazilian police reportedly searched the house and the political headquarters of former President Jair Bolsonaro. On Friday, the police confirmed that they carried out “two search and seizure warrants”, but did not specify whether Bolsonaro was the target, but local media report that he was.

Bolsonaro has been ordered to wear a single monitor, according to The corresponding press. Moreover, Bolsonaro is said to be forbidden to use social media or to contact others who are under research, the Associated Press reported, referring to local media. This would be his son, Eduardo Bolsonaro, a Brazilian legislator who lives in the US who is known for ties with President Donald Trump.

Media in Brazil also reports that the former president is forbidden to leave the house between 7 pm and 7 am, Bolsonaro is said to be forbidden to contact foreign ambassadors and diplomats.

Trump calls for an immediate end of the ‘unjust’ process of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro

On Thursday, Trump called for an immediate end of the process and said that Bolsonaro is the victim of an ‘unjust system’.

“I have seen the terrible treatment that you receive through an unjust system that has turned against you. This should end immediately!” Trump wrote in a letter he sent to Bolsonaro, who placed the President on his social account on Thursday evening.
