House republicans are not finished cutting Medicaid and they have added a new target to their hit list.
Towards the end of the year, house republicans are also planning to cut Medicare.
House budget committee Chairman Jodey Arrington In an interview with Bloomberg said that Republicans will look for deeper cuts on Medicaid, new expenditure reductions in Medicare and any errors imposed in the American tax code by the “large, beautiful account”.
“I think we will do one for the end of the year,” said Arrington. “It will be a more targeted series of reforms.”
The budget chairman said that the further legislation is seen as an opportunity to secure cuts on Medicare expenditure that he was looking for but could not win in the Trump tax and expenditure package. High under his goals, he said, is reducing repayments to hospitals via a site-neutral payment system that pays the same rate, regardless of whether a procedure is performed in a clinic or doctor’s office.
By ‘reforms’, Arrington means cuts in health care. If Medicare allowances are cut, that would be a death sentence for many rural hospitals.
If you thought the last reconciliation law that Republicans adopted and Trump signed in the law, was the worst, you were wrong.
It is as if the removal of health care of 17 million Americans was not enough, so Republicans continue to attack the remaining people on Medicaid and come for Medicare.
These cutbacks can cost the Republicans their majority of the house, but these are ideologists who are on a mission to destroy the social safety net and apparently will not stop until all national wealth is again divided into the top 1%.
