Huisdemocrats are not going to sleep. They are going to work. That is the message that is sent by how Democrats intend to spend their time trying to recover the majority on the ground by Republicans of Huisen Hamen in their districts for Support of Trump’s wild unpopular ‘big great account.
Huisdemocratic leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) told Punchbowl News what Democrats will do when he visited Louisiana, the home of speaker Mike Johnson and majority leader Steve Scalise.
Jeffries said that Democrats will give more speeches, rallies and marches, plus town hall events in Gop districts. Jeffries is planning to visit districts in New York, New Jersey, California and the Midwest.
We have asked Jeffries if the reconciliation voice is changing the size of the Battlefield of the House by bringing Redder Districts to the reach of Democrats. The DCCC has identified 35 GOP districts on their goal list. Jeffries said that the legislative proposal would “further complicate the house to keep the house”, but refused to say whether it would change the card.
“That mood will chase them and we will tattoo their support for one major ugly law on the forehead of every vulnerable house Republican in America,” Jeffries claimed.
Republicans have the majority in the house because they won districts in blue states such as Illinois, New Jersey, California and New York.
If Democrats win some districts in red states, they could build a huge majority, but winning the majority itself will mean that I will go back in the Blue States that will slip away in 2022 and 2024.
The strategy to place house democratic leaders and familiar faces on the spot in the Republican districts seems to be a good one that works. When a Jeffries, Jamie Raskin, AOC, Jasmine Crockett, Maxwell Frost or others come to the Republican districts, they receive local media attention and motivate Democrats together with independents while they have conversations that Republicans do not want to choose their decision to choose Trump.
Data shows that face-to-face contact with voters is the most effective way to protect their support. There will be enough time to perform advertisements in 2026, but the Democrats lay the foundation in 2025 and do what needs to be done to recover the majority in 2026.
