Sherry Wohlgemuth, who acts as executive director of the Missouri Craft Bewers Guild, said that the successful passage of the American Beer Act is a “victory for local entrepreneurship, for the lively artisan beer scene of Missouri and for beer lovers everywhere.”

“The American Beer Act offers much -needed financial relief to the native brewers of Missouri, so that they can reinvest in their company, retain employees and continue to grow,” Wohlgemuth continued. “And just as important, serves as an excellent example for how we can recognize the contributions that American production makes to the economy, culture and tourism of our state.”
She added that the new law will help the show directly that the more than 170 artisan breweries of the state, of which many small family businesses are, while noting Missouri “leads the way” for other states to support them in supporting American production.
