On Tuesday, the Democratic voters of New York City chose their candidate for mayor, assembler Zohran Mamdani, who ran on a socialist platform that Senator Bernie Sanders sometimes looked like an editor at National Review.
Under the insane socialist programs that Mamdani has founded, his city shops in the city, just like in Cuba, to replace the police by social workers, and a freezing of rental prices, this goes together with his poisonous attitude that Israel is not entitled to exist as a Jewish state.
Cuomo admits in NYC Democratic Primary for mayor, congratulates AOC-ENGORSED MAMDANI
The cats ladies and wine mothers in Park Slope, Brooklyn with the welcome signs of the refugees in the window will have an extra bouncement in their pilates on Wednesday morning in the thought of Zohran Mamdani who claims the name of the name, but where does this leave the National Democratic Party?
In the poll after the poll, and now in the actual elections, we saw Comrade Mamdani overwhelming to win in white college voters and those who earned more than $ 100,000 a year, while his opponent, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, convincingly won under Black, Latino and working New Yorks.

These tracks with national misery for Democrats that have parts of their traditional basis for Trump bleed, such as the teamsters, and do not have enough white NPR listeners with graduated degrees and pronouns to make it right.
It is a political re -perch that prefers the Republicans and the astonishing victory of Mamdani only makes the problem worse for Democrats.
Since the election of Barack Obama as president in 2008, both major political parties have undergone revolutionary shifts. The Democrats were captured by Wokess, and not soon after the Gop was captured by Maga. The results have been very different.
Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again program had four core shelves: Close the border, not poor trade agreements, energy independence and combating the cultural war. All this policy brought the once sturdy and unprecedented Gop closer to the ideological center.
Wokenness has had the exact opposite effect for Democrats. From men in the sport of women, to diversity, fairness and inclusion to tacit support of Islamic terrorists, and to opening borders Amnesty, the extremely left is not only away from the center, but alienated.

While Senator John Fetterman (D-Pa.) Tried to send his party to the center, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (r.) It to the left. (Left: Anna Moneymaker/Getty images; Right: Justin Sullivan/Getty images)
In addition to our blueest blue cities, there is little to no appetite for this kind of socialism. The majority of the country, in the political spectrum, regards this stuff as madness.
And yet, look at the leading figures in what was once the party of Jefferson and Jackson. We have rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y., the always entertaining rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, and here comes, Mamdani, who say, “Keep my beer published by the government.”
Where are the normal Democrats? Every now and then, to his honor, Senator John Fetterman, D-Pa .., raises his bald head to warn his match against the on fire of his hair about everything Trump does. But where is everyone?
The primary goal of extreme left-wing Democrats, at least at the moment, is not to win national elections. It is to take over their party, just as Maga took over.
This must be a wake-up call for moderate Democrats who assumed three weeks ago that Cuomo would achieve a big victory for them in the race of the Gotham Mayor. Instead, they got a 33-year new face from the party that falls somewhere to the left of chairman Mao.
The primary goal of extreme left-wing Democrats, at least at the moment, is not to win national elections. It is to take over their party, just as Maga took over. And if that means that the Swing Congressional Districts, Senate seats or even presidential elections lose, it is worth it.
Mamdani and AOC are halfway through thirty. They have for decades to subtract this coup, even as political realities such as donors, they now and then push them against the middle.

In 1992, the then well -known government of Arkansas Bill Clinton won the Democratic Primary by calling the madness of his own side and promising a return to the sensitivities of John F. Kennedy. But on Tuesday Andrew Cuomo’s similar “return to normality” field crashed and burned like the Hindenburg in the five districts.
If moderate Democrats start to establish a fight for the soul of their party, they can now start this better, because with every Mamdani their brand seems closer to a hammer and sickle.
Even regularly loyal liberal points of sale such as the New York Times called Mamdani as a disaster, but it didn’t matter. If the Lefty Media cannot stop crazy progressives, who can?

Republicans will have reason to rejoice if Democrats cannot tackle at the center, but there is no joy for New York City; Less than half a million radical left -wing have almost chosen a socialist to rule a city of 9 million souls, and if Chicago and San Francisco are something to learn from, it will not end well.
Time is getting up for the Old Establishment Democrats, and one has to wonder if they will ever try to fight back.
