Star van de Hit Netflix show “Jewish matchmaking”, Cindy Seni is no longer single, but still talks with the renowned matchmaker Aleza Ben Shalom and lives in Israel.
From serving in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) during Covid to life in Jerusalem to 7 October and now the launch of Operation Rising Lion, Seni has seen a whole series of historical events from first -hand.

Since the operation started in Iran, Israel has instructed citizens to stay in bombs or protected spaces for a longer period of time. Seni says that it can be “anxiety-inducing” because people never know how long the hiding place in place order will last.
“It is sometimes a question of an entire night or a few hours,” she said. “And thank goodness I have a safe room in my apartment, but not many people, so they have to run and literally go out with their children at night and that is very stressful.”
A resilient Israeli who has had a major impact on the life of Seni in the midst of war and conflict is her husband, Eldad Cohen.
“He is a very, very resilient Israeli. He has experienced many things,” she said. “He was also injured in the army, and he grew up his own kind, you grew up here during the second Intifada in Jerusalem, and so he has this own resilience that really raised me.”

Seni’s other love spreads online via her Instagram account, “Israel with Cindy“Where she places skits, photos and personal stories.
“So,” Israel with Cindy “has really been created as a way to spread joy within the community – the Jewish community – and it really grew from there,” Seni said. “When such situations take place, and the same thing with October 7, I was faced with an extreme amount of hatred or only anti -Semitism. And I decided that my platform would be used in times of need to show anti -Semitism and show hatred and really find it in this polarized world.

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that from Wednesday 24 people had been killed and more than 800 injured in the retaliation strikes of Iran. Moreover, 3,800 people from their homes have been evacuated.
Although the figures can be discouraging, Seni says that she has faith in the Israeli security forces and in God.
“I am a believer in God, so I believe we have divine protection. I think, God will be prepared well.”
