The fight for reparations for racial minorities in the United States has quieted somewhat in recent years, but that is not because advocates have surrendered. It’s because they’ve already won.
The list of ways our government redistributes wealth to minorities is long, as you’ll see below, but first it’s worth paying attention to something Democratic strategist James Carville said recently.

Referring to packing the Supreme Court and making states in Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, should Democrats regain power, the reluctant old Cajun said, “Don’t go into it. Don’t talk about it. Just do it.’
I argue that this is exactly what the Democrats have done regarding reparations.
CHICAGO REPAIRS LAWYERS SAY FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MORAL OWES ‘7 QUADRILLION DOLLARS’ TO SLAVE LABOR
Take, for example, marijuana legalization laws in states like New York and Minnesota, which offer loans, often forgivable, and training only to black and brown people, or other “special equity groups.”
This is millions of tax dollars given to people based solely on their race.
The excuse Democrats use is that black and brown people have been disproportionately harmed by strict drug laws, but it is clear that the vast majority have never been arrested for drug crimes.
MINNESOTA SCHOOL DISTRICTS USE TAX MONEY FOR RACE-BASED TEACHER INCENTIVES AND FIANCE PROTECTIONS
And it’s not just about the cannabis business. In Democratic enclave after Democratic enclave, these set-aside programs exist to help these “special equity” groups get an edge in businesses like, oh, I don’t know, daycare centers and hospices. In states like Minnesota and California, we have seen how this form of reparations easily falls prey to fraud.
Another form of reparations that has saturated our society over the past two decades is mandatory diversity, equity, and inclusion training in both the public and private sectors.

When a state or locality, like almost every blue one, stipulates that every government employee must watch an hour-long video on how not to be a racist, with a quiz at the end, it costs millions, paid almost exclusively to Black and Brown-owned providers.
DAVID MARCUS: DEI IS THE MODERN DEMOCRAT PATRONAGE SCAM
Even reparations studies themselves, of which there is an endless supply and all of which seem to focus on needing more money for more studies, are a form of reparations.
Democrats aren’t even shy about using reparations anymore. New York Mayor Zorhan Mamdani, as a candidate, defended his plan to heavily tax “richer and whiter” neighborhoods, saying, “That’s just a description of what we’re seeing now. It is not driven by race. It is more of an assessment of which neighborhoods are taxed too little or too much.’

For some reason, Madman Mamdani thinks that when he puts it this way, he’s not saying, “White people have too much money, so the government will give some of it to non-white people,” but that’s exactly and literally what he’s saying.
NYC MAYOR CALLS RACIAL WEALTH GAP AT $180,000 TO JUSTIFY TAXES AND POLICE CUTS
This is how normalized and regular the use of reparations has already become in our society.
Democrats are not try to bring about reparations, they have already done that. What they are doing now is protecting the multi-billion dollar industries that their backdoor recovery has already created.
Unfortunately, most of the people who benefit from this de facto form of reparations are a handful of activists, who, like those who led Black Lives Matters, often enrich themselves under the guise of fighting systemic racism.
CHRISTOPHER RUFO: THE FALL OF ‘ANTIRACIST’ IBRAM X. KENDI
The vast majority of black and brown people do not benefit from a select few getting cheap, forgivable loans to sling weed; only the people who take that money do.
No one has ever been lifted out of poverty as a result of a DEI training requirement in the workplace, but those who provide the services live on high incomes.
And all of these beneficiaries, even though they represent a small portion of the Black and White population, are generous donors and organizers for the Democratic Party.
WHY SO MANY BLACKS LIKE ME LEAVE THE CHAINS OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY
Nice job if you can get it.
While most of this form of reparations takes place at the state and local level, that does not mean there is no role for the federal government. Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon has expressed a willingness to pursue these programs.

More needs to be done. This normalization that Democrats have pushed for, namely that the government treats people differently based on the color of their skin, must be pulled back at the roots.
And as Carville noted, let this serve as a warning: Democrats don’t need to tell you how they will do fundamental damage to our country before they actually do so.
