The day after an unarmed American citizen was killed by federal law enforcement officers within the Department of Homeland Security, the President of the United States was furious.
One murder of this type would be one too many for any previous president, whether Democrat or Republican, so perhaps Trump has finally reached his limit and lashed out over the murder of an American who was filming an immigration agent in Minneapolis?
No, Trump was worried about that. In fact, he has smeared the latest victim of his government’s lawlessness.
What has made Trump furious and cringe is that he is being sued over his destruction of the White House to build a ballroom.
Trump posted on his social media site:
On top of everything else I do, I’m building one of the largest and most beautiful ballrooms anywhere in the world, with over $300 million in funding from the Great American Patriots, and working closely with the U.S. Military and Secret Service from the start. This is a GIFT (ZERO taxpayer funding!) to the United States of America, of $300 to $400 million (depending on the size and quality of interior finishes!), for a much-needed space, sought for over 150 years by previous presidents and administrations, so that the White House would no longer be forced to use a cheap and unsafe “tent” for large and important STATE EVENTS, dinners, meetings, conferences and already planned future INAUGURATIONS (for safety, security and capacity purposes!), on a very wet and weather dependent, White House lawn.
Before we go any further: No one asked for a White House ballroom. The White House was already tight on space and in desperate need of new offices. Instead, Trump demolished half of the White House to build a ballroom, which taxpayers will pay for demolition and other non-construction costs.
Trump’s ballroom is also under investigation as a possible political kickback operation.
It will be even worse if Trump starts whining completely about the lawsuit.
