EXCLUSIVE: The US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), after delivering more than 187 million free meals to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip without Hamas stealing their aid, announced on Monday that it will shift its work to other aid organizations.
The GHF launched its operation on May 26 to ensure meals reached the people of Gaza and prevent Hamas terrorists from looting goods. According to GHF, it “provided more than 1.1 million packets of ready-to-eat supplementary food (RUSF) for malnourished children.”

Acree continued: “GHF has been in discussions with CMCC and international organizations for weeks now about the way forward, and it is clear that they will adopt and expand the model tested by GHF. As a result, we are winding down our activities as we have succeeded in our mission to show that there is a better way to deliver relief to the people of Gaza.
“From our very first day of operations, our mission was unique: to feed civilians in desperate need. We built a new model that worked, saved lives and restored dignity to civilians in Gaza. Our dedicated and compassionate team, made up of former U.S. military personnel, humanitarians, local Gazan workers and other partners like Samaritan’s Purse, risked their lives to feed the people of Gaza in the midst of an active war conflict,” he said.
UN aid agencies plagued by corruption and alleged support for Hamas terrorism are reportedly angry about GHF’s effectiveness.
Since May, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) has faced numerous attacks over its operations, including allegations that hundreds of Gaza residents have been killed and injured at distribution sites. The United Nations and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have also lambasted GHF for what they said was its weaponization of aid. UNRWA’s Commissioner General called for an end to the GHF in July, saying it “brings nothing but famine and gunfire to the people of #Gaza.”

GHF stated that “American-led solutions and compassion work,” and attributed its success to “the Trump administration’s call for innovation and early confidence in our mission, recognizing that American leadership, clarity of purpose, and accountability for results remain the international gold standard.”
GHF leaders said they are ready to revive the mission “if new humanitarian needs are identified and will not dissolve it as a registered NGO.”
Acree said: “What our team will miss most are the friendships and camaraderie developed with thousands of Gazans, especially the women and children we helped. In early July, as the food security situation in Gaza improved, our activities stabilized and we experienced a major shift in gaining the trust of aid seekers to the point where our aid sites became local meeting places for women and children who come into contact with our team every day. We will miss them dearly.”

Hamas invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, resulting in the massacre of more than 1,200 people, including more than 40 Americans. Hamas kidnapped 251 people during the invasion and is still holding three dead hostages, according to Israel. Trump’s Gaza peace plan outlines no role for Hamas in Gaza’s post-war governance and calls for the total disarmament of the Iran-backed jihadist terrorist organization.
