Nuclear Technology Company OKLO Inc. Brak terrain on his Idaho National Laboratory (INL) for his first Aurora force pATER, who heralds a new era of nuclear energy in the US
Aurora Powerhouse, the Aurora-Inl, is the flagship of OKLO Inc. Advanced nuclear reactor, which is designed to deliver clean, reliable power on a much smaller scale than traditional nuclear power plants.
The nuclear technology company is located in the middle of the development of splitting possibilities of the next generation to produce abundant, affordable, clean energy on a global scale. The mission to do this begins with the Aurora force patient, which, according to its website, can produce up to 75 MWE electrical current.

The company held an event on Monday with OKLO CEO Jacob Dewitte and INL director John Wagner to commemorate the moment that the company broke site on one of the first advanced nuclear reactors on a commercial scale that was built in decades in the US.

OKLO participates in the Doe’s Reactor Pilot program, which is designed to speed up the approval and construction of advanced nuclear reactors.
The aim of the program is to have at least three different advanced reactors work on July 4, 2026. These reactors will be built outside the government laboratories to underline how they can work in real, commercial institutions.

“This possibility positions us to quickly build under Do -Autorization and then to convert to a commercial operational license under the NRC,” said Dewitte, adding that the Ministry of Energy had an “exceptional report of the supervision of nuclear systems, starting with the earliest reactors in acceleration and planning the construction of advanced response.”
Dewitte has credited the NRC with excelation in commercial fleet supervision and said: “Their roles are complementary, and together they offer a path to put the schedule on the schedule earlier and to scale it responsible.”

The Aurora-Inl is a sodium-cooled fast reactor that uses metal fuel. The design is based on an older reactor, the experimental breeder reactor II, who worked successfully in Idaho for 30 years until 1994.

In 2019, the Ministry of Energy OLO gave permission to use recycled fuel from that earlier reactor. Since then, OLO has already erased two of the four approval steps that needs to make the fuel for Aurora in his new facility in Idaho.
This project is expected to create around 370 jobs during construction. There are also 70-80 long-term, highly skilled roles to operate the powerhouse and A3F.
