Illinois is preparing for Donald Trump to invade the city of Chicago within a few days. State leaders have made it clear that they do not need a federal intervention or want to “fight crime” in the city and state.
On Saturday morning Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton on MSNBC:
We will not avoid. We will do everything we can to protect the people from Illinois and stand up for our neighbors.
I mean, look, this is all about a manufactured chaos trying to bring the Trump administration to the city of Chicago and to a state like Illinois, they do not like the fact that we do not bend for them. And as I said time and time again, we are not going to roll out the red carpet for a wannabe dictator.
You know, Holman talks about help. This does not help. We have not asked them to come. They have not coordinated with us. They have not achieved us in an official capacity to give us details about whatever plans. Chicago, Illinois. We got up together. We spoke with a strong voice.
We don’t want them here. We don’t need them here. There is no emergency. And so I don’t know what kind of help he has, but we will do everything we can to follow the law and protect our people.
Below we will talk about what Trump’s movement means for your rights.
