It is clear that Donald Trump is planting a kind of action in the city of Chicago. JB Pritzker government has made it clear that he does not want, nor will he invite national guard troops in his state, but that has not prevented Trump from steaming ahead with his plan to send troops to Chicago when there is no crisis or emergency.
Government Pritzker said during an event while talking about the National Guard and Chicago:
I respect them enormously. Most of them are almost all not trained for law enforcement. That’s not what they do. But let’s respect the fact that if they are called up or a national guard comes here, when they are called. I know members of the National Guard. They do not want to do law enforcement on the street.
This is not the task for which they registered when they went to the National Guard. So if it happens that they end here, we must respect them all. They follow orders. That’s what they have to do. They can be tortured the court if they do not follow orders. And so I think they don’t want to be here.
We must respect that they have a job. They are asked to do. But to be honest, I think the same percentage, about 80, 85% of national guards, perhaps more resembles the people of Chicago do not want troops in the streets of Chicago. So it is non-American if you ask me. A city invading troops, an American president who invades an American city.
