The shooting at the Catholic school in Minneapolis, especially, was a horrible, premeditation against children. It is the kind of crime that an assumed crime hunter like Donald Trump should lead the nation, but that is not what happens.
NBC News Reported about a story told by Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) in which the horror is described that unfolded:
The senator described the call with the mother as “one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever heard.” The woman’s daughter, who is in seventh grade, saw her friends being shot.
“These children do a massive mass and had to see how different of her friends are shot-one in the back, one in the neck,” said Klobuchar. “And they all went under the banks and she-her daughter was of course not shot her daughter was not the one who was one of the fathers of the other children who had shot his daughter.”
Donald Trump acts as a tough for crime, but when real crime happens, when children are shot and killed, where is Donald Trump? Where is he? In moments like this, when a nation mourns, when communities are broken, when lives are crushed when children lose everything. Their innocence. A president must lead.
Donald Trump is not there. Donald Trump has a history of not wanting to deal with the difficult problems. Donald Trump hides for the difficult problems. Donald Trump talks a big game. He will even send some national guard troops to pick up waste in a majority of minority city such as Washington, DC, and he pretends to fight crime.
But when real crime takes place when real solutions are needed, Donald Trump is nowhere to be found.
Barack Obama led after Sandy Hook. Joe Biden led the nation after massive shootings. Donald Trump has not been able to lead consistently.
Although he pops up at some point, and if his pattern is true, he will only blame the shooter, Melania Trump surrounds her safe and non -known location, visit Minneapolis and ignore the greater problem of mass shootings and rifles in this country.
Trump has ordered that flags are lowered to half staff, which are more gestures instead of real change.
America needs a leader who will confront the mass shooting epidemic, not a president who treats crime as a reality TV program.
Failure to confront with mass shootings will again prove that Republicans are more interested in protecting the rights of mass shooters than in children’s lives.
