“Yet the signals coming from Russia are exactly the opposite and take the form of official orders to their military. This Russian mentality must be recognized – and acted upon. When Russia has this mentality, it will also undermine diplomacy – through diplomatic language and pressure on specific points in documents – merely masking its desire to destroy Ukraine and the Ukrainians, and its desire to legitimize Russia’s theft of our country. And then come other countries in Europe, who will one day make someone in Russia their so-called ‘historical’ countries,” he claimed in the post.
“Real protection is needed against this Russian case of madness, and we will continue to work with all partners to ensure there is protection. Security measures are needed, financial measures are needed – including actions against Russian assets – political measures are needed. And the courage of all partners is required: to see the truth, recognize the truth and act accordingly. I want to thank everyone who supports Ukraine,” his post concludes.
Zelenskyy also delivered the message in a Ukrainian language video.

However, if the opposing side and its foreign protectors refuse to engage in substantive dialogue, Russia will achieve the liberation of its historic territories through military means. The task of creating and expanding a security buffer zone will also be carried out consistently,” Putin said. Kremlin transcript.
