New York Yankees Rookie -World Cam Schlittler goes viral for something that happened during Saturday’s game with the Chicago White Sox.
The moment has nothing to do with his performance in the field, but the way in which Yankees broadcaster Ryan Ruocco has misunderstood part of his name.
Schlttler, who started the game, went six innings before he was removed for a relief pitcher. With four hits, one walk and only one earned run, he did well enough to earn this little praise from Ruocco:
“More quality Schlitt from Cam,” he said.
However, it became worthless for Ruocco (and Schlittler, kind of) when the game extended to the 11th inning.
That is when Ruocco made a non -oriented mistake while offering a short summary of what had happened so far, offered:
“This game, started by cam shi … sh … Schlittler,” said Ruocco, before he threw a little and admit the truth.
“Bound once to happen,” he admitted.
He said the error is common, but most people close to him, including people in the clubhouse of Yankees, just call him ‘Schlitt’.
“It’s just a tough last name,” he said.
Yes, Play-by-Play broadcaster Michael Kay admits that Schlittler’s name is ‘loaded with danger’, especially since his 100-Mph Fastball and 2.61 ERA mean that he could be part of the Yankees for a while.
“I think the more often you say ‘Schlittler’, the greater the chance that you have it to ruin it,” Kay told the Athletic.
