Creators who post artificial intelligence-generated videos of armed conflict without clear disclosure will be punished under the new X policy aimed at preventing manipulation and misinformation.
Nikita Bier, head of product at X, announced the revisions to the revenue sharing policy for X creators in a post on Tuesday.
“During the day times of warit is crucial that people have access to authentic information on the ground. With current AI technologies, it is trivial to create content that can mislead people,” Bier wrote.
Users who post AI-generated videos of armed conflict must now mention that they were created with AI, Bier said. Those who don’t add disclosure will face a 90-day suspension of revenue sharing for creators on the platform.

Any future violations will result in a permanent suspension from the program.
Bier said that X will be flagged by any post with a community note or if the content contains metadata (or other signals). generative AI tools.
