Trey Yingst: Iran no longer has any options
Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst offers an update on Israel and Iran -trade rocket attacks after Israel has eliminated Top Iranian officials and their energy infrastructure while focusing on nuclear sites.
The Nimitz Strike Group was previously planned to replace the USS Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group, which has been deployed for a few months, but now goes to the middle -east prior to the schedule. The two will now be in the middle at the same time.

USS Nimitz – commissioned on May 3, 1975 – is the oldest active aircraft carrier with the American navy. The US has both on the ground-based Patriot Missile Defense Systems and terminal anti-aircraft systems at high altitudes in the Middle East that are able to intercept ballistic missiles.

One of the officials mentioned the Nimitz, who was in the Indo-Pacific at the time, as well as USS George Washington, who had just left his port in Japan, as assets, the navy could possibly rise to the Middle East if it was ordered.
American fighter jets also patrolled heaven in the middle to protect staff and installations, and air bases in the region take extra security precursors, the officials said.
Usually there are around 30,000 troops located in the middle and there are now around 40,000 troops in the region, one of the American officials told The Associated Press. That number rose to 43,000 last October to the middle of the constant tensions between Israel and Iran, as well as continuous attacks on commercial and military ships in the Red Sea due to the Houthis supported by Iranian in Yemen.
Former President Joe Biden initially encouraged ships to protect Israel, a close ally of the US, after the attacks of 7 October 2023 by Iran supported Hamas terrorists. It was seen at the time as a deterrent against Hezbollah and Iran in Lebanon.
