On Monday, Trump told reporters before leaving for Memphis, Tennessee:
So tomorrow morning, sometime their time, we were expected to blow up their largest power plants, which had cost over $10 billion to build. It’s a very good one. There was no shortage of money and one chance: it was gone. It’s collapsing. Why would they want that? So they called. I didn’t call. They called.
They want to make a deal. And we are very willing to make a deal. It must be a good deal. And there should be no more wars, no more nuclear weapons. They will no longer have nuclear weapons. They agree to that. All that stuff is no deal.
