Donald Trump reaches the point in his decline where his audience must be from the prisoner. The days that Trump do rallies seem to have disappeared for a long time. His 2024 campaign was performed at a much slower pace than his earlier attempts to win the presidency.

When Trump stated that he was going outside and patrolling with the police and the National Guard, everyone with a green common sense knew that it would not happen.
What happened was something much more embarrassing.

I know you don’t care about taxes. You don’t care about saving a little tax, but you actually saved a lot of taxes. We had a great period. I have never received so many phone calls that thank me for what we did in Washington, DC, from people who did not go to a restaurant in four years. They said you know what you did, it’s unprecedented because they said it was just unsafe.
We couldn’t do it. We would go out, and you would see the stories, you would read the stories and see all the things that happen. They said, we couldn’t stand it, sir. Now I take my wife and my children out for dinner. One of them said, he went out for four in a row and he had not gone out for 4 years. It is a great tribute to you. When I look at you, I understand why. There are no games. We don’t play games.
We are going to make it safe. We then go to other places. We will stay here for a while and make this absolutely perfect. It is our capitol. I think it used to be safe many years ago, but it is certainly not that they run very well. You have to be strong. You have to be cool. You have to do your work. Whatever it is needed to do your work, knows you have to do your work. The crime numbers are far down. The statistics, they read them inside. The numbers we have never seen here, actually ever.
