For too long, democratic leaders in Washington, DC, criminals have treated better than the police – and President Donald Trump is absolutely right to end this mess and to reduce the law and order.
Washington, DC, is the seat of our national government and the international symbol of American democracy. Every year millions of Americans and thousands of Arkansans come to the capital of our nation to celebrate the beauty, culture, history and values that our great nation have defined and formed for more than 200 years.
Visitors climb the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial, view the congress in the house and galleries of the Senate, dive in our history in the Smithsonian museums, amazed by the spotless terrain around the White House and those who served our nation on Arlington National Cemety.

Every American must be given the opportunity to visit Washington safely, whether it is about business, vacation or to submit a petition. Unfortunately, this has not been the case in recent years due to crime, violence and lawlessness that teases the district.
Trump takes over the DC police, but this is what needs to be done
In 2024 on average DC on average one of the highest theft and murder figures between large cities in the United States. It also leads the nation in theft of vehicles and is one of the top 20% of the world’s most dangerous cities.
Unfortunately I have had employees in my office in the Washington office due to violent crime, and I know that other congress offices have also had horrible experiences. Such a case took place earlier this summer, when the 21-year-old conference trainee Eric Tarpinian-Jachym was tragically killed in northwestern DC
Just like so many other young and enthusiastic trainees, Eric came to the capital of our nation to build his career. Every American student should be able to do this safely, therefore, when I organize onboarding briefings for our university trainees, I unfortunately remind them of staying vigilant when I walk around with headphones, residential work to work with laptops or go a run in the city.
This is a sad status quo that is the net result of decades of democratic leadership in DC that pushes policy that is soft for crime, which encourages criminals at the expense of authority and visitors. From cashless bail to judges who allow youth gangs to rampage city streets, the district of Columbia’s local leaders have created what President Trump has correctly called a “terrible crisis for public safety”.
It should be a crime for the media to treat DC takeover so badly
The radical links will claim that the crime figures in DC have fallen, but this ignores all crimes that are covered or deliberately not reported by civil servants.
The fundamental problem in DC is the same in every jurisdiction that is checked on the left. Democratic leaders have a poor view of human nature. They believe that violent criminals are the victims of society. So if we simply give these criminals more resources, such as midnight basketball games or IJssocials, they become model burgers.
This crooked ideology is what the prosecutors of Soros, soft-on-crime legislation and DC officials drives to allow violent young people to avoid the punishment. Their routing worldview has led to countless murders and has made large parts of many of our cities, including Washington, DC-effective no-go-zones for authority-abiding citizens.
With Monday’s press conference in the White House, President Trump announced his intention to bring rights and order back to Washington, DC, this falls well within his authority and duty as president of the United States.

Washington, DC, is the federal city that is under the exclusive control of the federal government. This is the intended framework of the founders of America, partly influenced by the meeting locations of the congress that shifted over five states from 1773 to 1789, as well as the gap between the congress and the state of Pennsylvania that was exposed during the Muintij of 1783.
Simply put, it is the responsibility of the federal government to guarantee the safety and security of its employees, residents and visitors.
I work with President Trump and my Republican colleagues to get crime under control in the capital of our nation and in the United States. This congress, I am proud that I have sponsored and placed countless pieces of legislation that are aimed at reducing crime and protecting our communities.

I recommend the president and his administration to take a fixed attitude against criminals, criminals and drug dealers in the capital of our nation. It is high time that we recover the law and order in Washington, DC
