One of Donald Trump’s defining characteristics as a human being is constant neediness. There has never been a president who needed as much praise and support as Donald Trump. In many ways, Trump is the ultimate vulnerable snowflake.
The current president appears to have no beliefs or core principles. He has to fill that void within himself by getting applause from others.
Trump doesn’t care why they clap or what they cheer for. He always assumes the audience is cheering him on because he always needs to be loved.
When Trump left for the Middle East, he spoke to reporters, and what he focused on was not the fact that the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas means that the bloodshed will stop, at least for a little while.
Trump was not focused on rebuilding Gaza or bringing lasting peace to the region.
Donald Trump was only interested in filling that crater within himself with applause from strangers.

Everyone is very excited about this moment. So I’ll see you on the plane. I think you are traveling with us, but this is a very special event there with 500,000 people yesterday and today in Israel and also the Muslim and Arab countries are all cheering.
