President Donald Trump said on the campaign track that he wanted the alliance between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping “On-United”.
But the immensely complex geopolitical dynamics have asked questions about whether Trump can draw a “reverse kissinger” and call a modern version of the Sino-Soviet split.

Fleitz pointed to the recent conversations between Minister of Finance Scott Bessent and his Chinese counterparts in Stockholm and said that pushing China to stop buying Russian oil or face rates was a route that could be effective to manage a wedge.

But reports have suggested that China fears that Russia will lose war or, at least, a stopping of hostilities would free the US and its allies to concentrate heavier on China.
Fleitz argued the core strategy when splitting the Putin-Xi alliance, which the two have sworn publicly, is solid, should not concentrate on an attempt to push China away from Russia.
“The Russians and Chinese people do not love each other,” argued Fleitz, pointing to a movement from 2023 by the Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources when the OM asked historic Chinese names to be included in addition to the current Russian names on maps that display the eastern border areas. “The Chinese have changed their cards in the Far East to add Chinese names to Russian cities, because I think China gives the message they will take back Russian areas in the Far East.
“We have to make this point for Putin. He has a much better future for Russia, which is re -integrated in the West and Europe as a state with a good reputation instead of falling into the arms of the Chinese, who do not have the best interests of Russia,” said Fleitz, who acts as Vice -Chairman of the America Firstertute.

The theory that Putin’s Co -ir could be the ticket to break his alliance with XI is the “Reverse Kissinger” mentioned in a nod to Henry Kissinger who, starting in 1972 alongside President Richard Nixon, improved the relationships with China in a movement to further insulate the USSR.
To some extent, Trump has tried all this approach, as witness by his insistence that diplomacy was the best way with Putin, his initial reproach from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zenskyy as “ungrateful” and his apparent concept of why Putin Ukraïen came in when it came from Navo.
The war goals of Putin have not been put off so far and China, which for years took an audience neutral position when it came to the war in Ukraine, has increasingly expressed his support to Russia despite Western pressure.
But Fleitz argued that this strategy will take time.
“It will be difficult,” he said. “But first of all our policy started with Russia in a bad situation for Trump.
“There was no dialogue between Putin and Biden after Russia invaded Ukraine,” Fleitz added and noted that despite the commentary level, struggle between Russia and China brews.

Reports leaked in June by the Russian intelligence service that is known as the FSB apparently showed that Moscow Neuzel Beijing “the enemy” And is aware of his efforts to gain access to the best military technologies by recruiting Russian spies, often disillusioned Russian scientists.
Although reporting has suggested that Russia regards China as a strategic partner to combat the West, Beijing is known for playing the long game, and the dependence on Moscow of the Chinese Communist Party, because one of the few allies could be a future vulnerability.
“Press articles have recently come out about how China Russia is spying and benefiting from this relationship to promote Chinese safety,” Fleitz said. “We have to make this point for the Russians on every occasion – the Chinese are not your friend.
“You have to close a deal with Donald Trump.”
