Thousands of people were forced to evacuate a bustling neighborhood of Hong Kong at night, while experts sweat through delicate work of harming a non-prisonered almost 5-foot, 1,000 pound bomb left of the Second World War.
The BOM made by the US was found on a construction site in Quarry Bay on the west side of Hong Kong at night Friday, and it is not the first bomb of the war that can be found on the island.
“We have confirmed that this object is a bomb that goes back from the Second World War,” Andy Chan Tin-Chu, a police officer, told reporters. He said that because of “the exceptionally high risks in connection with their removal,” around 1,900 households with 6,000 people “were encouraged to evacuate quickly.”

The police of Hong Kong said in a statement that the bomb of 1,000 pounds had 500 pounds TNT that was probably fell by American service members during the war, and bomb experts had to work until almost the afternoon on Saturday.
The police said the removal regulation team “Brav”[ed] The elements under the typhoon “to dismantle the bomb”, neutralize the threat at 11:48 am

In 2018, experts transferred another WWII bomb that was found on a construction site in the Hong Kong business district. It also weighed £ 1,000 and the third bomb had been dug up since January of that year.
