The US, South Korea and Japan have expanded or restored their trilateral military exercises in response to the advancing nuclear program of Noord -Korea. Noord -Korea can use more troops this summer, according to the South Korean intelligence service.
Lavrov called the meeting a continuation of the ‘strategic dialogue’ of the countries and said that he was hoping for more direct meetings in the future.
“We exchanged the views on the situation around the Ukrainian crisis. … Our Korean friends confirmed their strong support for all the objectives of the special military operation, as well as for the actions of Russian leadership and the forces,” Tass quoted Lavov.

Vice -Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Rudenko said that more Russian delegations would visit North Korea later in the year, Tass reported.

Lavrov is then planned to travel to China for the Shanghai cooperation organization that will meet early next week.
