“South Park”, the Goud-Standard-managed Sitcom of Comedy Central, has launched its 27th season on the American television screens and with President Trump back in the White House, politics is back on the menu for makers Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
Just like our national media ecosystem, Trump and his presidency are the driving force behind almost every plot line in the first three episodes this year. Much of it is pretty funny, but you are wondering: where was all this hilarious hijinx about the “weekend in” weekend of Joe Biden?
Charlie Kirk embraces ‘South Park’ parody of him in the coming episode as an ‘erbabge’
The umbrella starting point of the season so far is that, with the election of Trump, harminess is finally dead. This development leaves the Rotund character of Eric Cartman, which was determined by his political inaccuracy, because Woke was previously in our language, in a difficult place: he is no longer special.
Cartman is even considering taking his own life, and that of his little friend butters, when Wokeess does not return by Tuesday, but they are thwarted to suffocate themselves in an electric car, which is the nice layered comedy that we expect from the show.

Until now, however, in every episode all roads lead back to Trump, and the character created for him, including a photo animation from his head. And the shows have been full with references to and even images of the genitals of the president.
With a few exceptions, the actions of the real “South Park” characters are driven by Trump. For example, when he suits the city for millions of dollars, the cutbacks school advisor will leave Mr Mackey from a job, taking a position as an ice agent.
Likewise, Randy Marsh is forced to turn his weed farm into great technical care with the help of Chatgpt after an ice raid from the tore of the headlines leaves him without Mexican employees. Trump is simply inescapable in this TV universe.
In a sense, Parker and Stone create a fictional version of fascism that see so many progressives in every corner of Trump’s America. Most Americans do not believe that they live under a Trumpian authoritarian regime, but in “South Park”, the characters don’t believe it alone, their lives are turned upside down.
All this comes with a healthy portion of the liberal fantasy that background hicks all suddenly regret that they have voted on Trump, something that really belongs alone in the world of brands.

For Cartman, the Trump takes over the second episode the chance, and in what is the most striking development so far, he transforms himself into a clear version of conservative organizer and Pundit Charlie Kirk, complete with Debate against Gaggles by Woke College Girls.
The real Kirk laughed at the tribute, in which he is described as a “master bater”, and that is the attitude towards the parody of the right in general. Say what you want, Maga knows how to laugh at himself.
And the inclusion of Kirk in such a central role actually accurately shows how the new right came to take over not only the Republican party, but also American conservatism in general.
People on the right can joke. It would just help if the jokes about Maga could actually be funny.
Unfortunately, the least funny and entertaining moments this season are those with Trump and his administration. It’s just the same joke: Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noom shoots enough dogs to fill a pet cemetery and vice president JD Vance is tattoo of Fantasy Island. Okay.
Together with his alleged anatomical shortcomings, we see Trump in a sexual relationship with Satan, and as a buffoon that is folded with gifts of the world’s most powerful people.
It all feels like the well-known phenomenon for social media, also once present on late ‘comedy “shows, in which liberals say:” Trump and Maga would hate if you say this thing, or if you post this photo, “when it really doesn’t take anyone.
It also feels similar to the recent social media spree of California Govin Newsom in which he mimics Trump’s post style. Democrats are convinced that Maga World is furious about this, but again, the truth is that nobody really gives it.
Despite the weakness of political propaganda in this season of South Park, Parker and Stone are still gifted comic writers and there are moments and pieces that really shine.
The marital problems between Randy and Sharon Marsh caused by his growing relationship with Chatgpt is a special highlight.
The writers perfectly catch the obedient and sycophantic dulcet tones of female AI assistants, always say: “What a great idea” or “that must be difficult, but we will work through it.”
Extra wonderful is that Randy uses his AI to save his weed farm, which leads to a ketamine addiction, because all these forms of brave new world “Soma” come together.
It is fair to accuse “South Park” of Hypocrisis for aiming so much cheerfulness on Trump and his team after ignoring Grandpa Joe Biden, and it is wondered if the more ridiculous figures on the left, from Jasmine Crockett to, yes, Gavin Newsom, can appear.

But perhaps the reason that South Park has traditionally not been put in the foreground in the foreground that it is not that funny, at least not in the context of this show.
For 27 years, “South Park” has challenged the convention, took risks and did things that other shows would not do. For example, it was an early spot of the Trans movement, but there is also a depth on the characters in the city that is completely missing in every representation of the inner circle of Trump.

Fresh from his new $ 1.5 billion streaming deal with Paramount, perhaps paid for partly by saving the show of Trump-Hating Stephen Colbert, “South Park” will be with us for a while.
This is a good thing. People on the right can joke. It would just help if the jokes about Maga could actually be funny.
